2017 Winter fun

Winter seems to always drag on forever in Minnesota but we had a lot of fun these past few months!  First, we celebrated Ben's 6th birthday which was a lot of fun.  You went to the birthday party but was a little scared of all the big boys and the huge inflatables.

Everyday, you'll have something funny to say.  Baba and I get a good laugh constantly at your funny comments and shenanigans.  Like baba said - you're going to be the smart ass class clown.   We had a lot of visitors come and see you.  Yipao came for a week in March and Meibo came for a week in April.  We had a ton of fun and did a bunch of activities.

We also celebrated St Patrick's Day and Easter.  For St Patrick's Day, both you and your brother were looking for the leprechaun who left green foot prints in the house.  For Easter, we went to the Lowry Nature Center to find colored rocks.  Then, we had an Easter Egg Hunt at home.

The good news is that it's finally beginning to warm up!  Last couple of weeks, you'll been enjoying a lot of outdoor time.  We also decided to plant a vegetable garden in the backyard for Mother's Day!  Hopefully we'll get lots of veggies.  Both you and your brother also helped me with the flower bed in the windows.  On Mother's Day, we went all around town looking for the replacement gnome as Ben's green gnome accidentally flew across the family room.

A couple of Bradley-isms in the last couple of months include:

2/3 - glombs = gloves.  You also have mow glombs that you wear for mowing the lawn (pink peppa pig ones)
3/10 - corner to poop. This also happened with your brother which signals that potty training is coming soon!
3/12 - (dressed as a tiger)  "I not scary, I Bradley brother!" because you thought Beni was scared of you.
3/27 - (when it was time for bed)  I'm not talking about that
4/20 - Ms Shelby shared that you were putting all the worms in pocket.  Then when you took them out for 'catch and release' you said, "they're all licking me!"
4/28 - (when I said no more episodes, time for bed) Don't say no at me mom
5/1 - Do you want butter noodles?  No, I don't want to eat brother noodles.  No, not brother, butter!  This went on for five minutes. LOL
5/5 - I Bradley Buuuuurger!
There is never a dull moment in the Berger house.  Every day, you do or say something super cute and funny.  Even though you are a true toddler boy, rough and tumbler, you are a caring, kind and gentle little guy.  You are always the first to share with your brother and look up to him like an idol.  I am so humble and proud to be your mama Didi!!

Holidays 2016

Holidays are here!  I can't believe how quickly the last few months in the year flies by.  Right after coming back from Disney and Halloween, we celebrated Thanksgiving.  Thanksgiving is celebrated at home just between all of us.  I ordered a nice ham and cook all the side dishes This year, Ben learned about Thanksgiving at school so we cooked a turkey.  You did not care for turkey, nor did your brother. I think your favorite was mash potatoes and sweet potato casserole.

Right after Thanksgiving, we got ready for Christmas.  We all went to pick up the Christmas tree.  Annual tradition is to pick up the tree from the Glen Lake Optimist Field which is right down the street.  What's nice is that it's not too big, you can run around and pick your trees and then they do a fresh cut and tie it to the car.

In years past, we used to see Santa at Macy's Santaland downtown.  However, Macy's closed!! No worries because Santa is now visiting children at Tonkadale Greenhouse which is way closer and you get to see Walter and Margaret.  Last year, you were ambivalent when visiting Santa.  This year, you did NOT like Santa.  You were sad and cried.  Even brother couldn't cheer you up.  You talked about it for months.

After getting ready for Christmas, we went to Connecticut to celebrate with the Camerato's.  You love hanging out with Uncle Johnny, Yipao, Meibo, Anthony gege and Mei Wong.  We had a great time.  You also really enjoyed visiting the CT Children's Museum.  What's great about visiting CT is that Yipao always does whatever you want... which means going outside in the middle of winter.  HAHAHA.

Now that you are 2.5 years old, there's been a word explosion and lots of longer sentences (six words).  I also noticed your complex thinking which is so cute!  Here's a few funny moments/ stories:

11/17 - I love your arm mom, it's a beautiful arm.
Excamator = Excavator
Helicocker = Helicopter
Pass gas truck = UPS truck

12/3 -  Go away I don't want to talk to you right now
12/27- Cry mom (you wanted me to be sad). Cuddle with puppy don't make him sad
1/7 - New found freedom of fully talking and talking all the time
1/13 - You thought it was a good idea to put play doh in your ear at school
1/13 - Baba, you are wearing brown.  I like it, you look so cute.
1/14 - Why? Cuz I WANT TO
1/20 - Pooped in the tub (this was not fun cleaning for mama)

Sick day and voted!  (not sure you were really sick)
