Florence was by far the longest and fastest day. Early in the morning (9am), we checked out and took a train to Florence. The bullet train took 2 hours to get to Florence and both you and your brother felt like the time flew by. Slightly cold AC, wifi and chargers helped. We also had plenty of drinks and snacks.
Once we arrived in Florence we stored our luggage and went to see the statue of David. Thank goodness to Wong for skip the lines!!! After seeing David, we hit up the food court where there was a ton of options. Both of you wanted XLB, white rice and desserts lol. Afterwards, we walked around and went to a pizza spot before hitting Duomo and the 14 flights of stairs. Both of you had no problem with the stairs, Anthony and I stayed back. We met up at the museum and then separated for dinner.
By 10pm, we were back to the train station and headed to Rome. I think we got to Rome and settled down around 1am. Not sure how you two were able to stay awake, engaged, in a good mood and travel so well but you did!!
