Italy Part III: Rome Day 3- Gladiators and Golf Cart Tours

Our last day in Rome!  After a ton of walking in Florence and Rome, we had a fun but less steps day today.

The morning was spent in Gladiator Camp.  It was further out from the city and one of the highlights of the trip.  It reminded us a lot of Minnesota, lots of trees, LOTS of mosquitos.

I love how peaceful you look when sleeping
it was a long day yesterday!

Welcome to Gladiator camp!
a beautiful drive to Appia Antica

Battle!!  There were a few rounds.  Bradley
got bumped in the lip.  Competition was fierce!

At the end of gladiator camp, the both of you became formal gladiators!  I'm so glad we were able to experience this, it was a ton of fun!

too many souvenirs to purchase,
this one gets a picture only

Afternoon adventure, Golf Cart tours!
It was cool to try out all these different tours as it took us to different places.

Ardeatino
San Callisto Catacombs

No pictures are allowed in the catacombs.  There are a lot
of catacombs in Rome.  Some are adults only and after visiting
this one, I can see why.  Very dark, down underground, it's quite
dank and cold.

Last night of relaxing
Tough night for Ben - had an allergic reaction to a vegan tiramisu
Had to come home early from dinner
What we brought home

a real sword

Bradley loving the airport lounge.  Here is a pancake!

Here is 4 plates of food!

Here is a croissant!

I am so happy we went to Italy.  I wasn't sure if you would like it because there's a lot of walking, it's super hot and not an amusement park.  Favorite place was Venice.  Favorite food - gelato (Burano clams for Ben).  Favorite tour - Vespa, Favorite dinner - Emilio, Most fun - Gladiators.

Bradley, you did so well on the trip.  Always a trooper, the youngest and kept up with all of us.  You tried new things, at lots of noodles and played well with Ben.

I love you so much Bradley!!
